Faizy Crystal

Faizy Crystal is the Langkawi glass studio of Kamarul Faizy Roslan, a glassblower with more than three decades of experience in the craft.

Kamarul developed his glassmaking skills through training and experience overseas before establishing his own practice in Langkawi. His work combines traditional glassblowing techniques with designs inspired by the island, including its flora, fauna and distinctive local identity.

In 2023, Kamarul was recognised by Kraftangan Malaysia as an Adiguru Kraf Kaca Kristal — a master craftsperson in crystal glass. Alongside producing his own work, he has spoken about the importance of passing increasingly rare glassmaking skills to a new generation.

Today, visitors can find Kamarul at Faizy Crystal's gallery and workshop, where his glass pieces are made and sold. When glassblowing work is underway, visitors may also have the chance to watch the process firsthand.

Open Saturday–Thursday, 10:30am–1:00pm and 2:30pm–5:00pm. Closed Friday and on some public holidays. Message ahead to confirm.
